Terms of Service
Last updated 2026-09-17
These terms govern your use of Routebook, operated by [LEGAL_NAME], [REGISTERED_ADDRESS], company number [COMPANY_NUMBER] (“Routebook”, “we”, “us”). By creating an account or using the app, you agree to them. If you don’t, don’t use Routebook.
1. What Routebook is
Routebook is a trip-planning tool: routing, day-by-day scheduling, weather, fuel and toll estimates, and budget tracking for road trips. Route, weather, toll, and fuel data come from third-party providers (see our Privacy Policy) and can be wrong, delayed, or unavailable. Always verify road conditions, closures, and border requirements against an official source before you rely on them — Routebook is a planning aid, not a substitute for your own judgment behind the wheel.
2. Your account
You’re responsible for keeping access to your account’s email address secure, and for anything that happens under your account. Tell us at [CONTACT_EMAIL] if you think someone else has access to it. You must be old enough to form a binding contract in your jurisdiction to create an account.
3. Your content
Trips, stops, notes, and budget entries you create are yours. You grant us only the license needed to store and display them back to you and to anyone you explicitly invite to a trip. Don’t upload anything you don’t have the right to share, or anything unlawful, abusive, or infringing.
4. Collaboration and invites
Inviting someone to a trip shares that trip’s contents with them at the role (editor or viewer) you choose. You’re responsible for only inviting people you intend to give that access to.
5. Plans and billing
Routebook offers a free plan and paid plans with additional limits and features, described on our Pricing page. Paid plans are billed by a third-party payment processor; their terms govern the payment itself. You can cancel a paid plan at any time from Settings; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period.
6. Acceptable use
Don’t use Routebook to abuse our infrastructure or the third-party APIs it relies on (Mapbox, Supabase, and the weather/toll/fuel/EV providers listed in our Privacy Policy), attempt to access another account, or reverse-engineer the service beyond what’s needed for ordinary use.
7. Disclaimer and liability
Routebook is provided “as is”, without warranty of any kind. To the maximum extent permitted by [JURISDICTION] law, we aren’t liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the app, including reliance on routing, weather, toll, or fuel data that turns out to be wrong or out of date.
8. Ending your account
You can delete your account at any time from Settings. We may suspend or terminate an account that violates these terms.
9. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms as the product changes. We’ll update the date above, and for material changes, notify you by email.
10. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of [JURISDICTION], without regard to its conflict-of-law rules.
