Two ways to let someone in.

A read-only share link works for anyone, no account needed — good for family checking the itinerary. Named members, invited by email as editor or viewer, get the real planning surface, with roles either of you can change or revoke any time.

  1. Share a read-only link

    No sign-in required — anyone with the link sees the trip.

  2. Or invite by email

    Send an invite as editor or viewer.

  3. Change roles any time

    Promote, demote, or remove a member without touching the trip.

  4. Revoke the link too

    Turn off the anonymous link independently of named members.

Questions

A read-only share link (/s/...) needs no account and shows the trip to anyone who has it — no editing. A named member is invited by email as an editor or viewer, and editors can actually change the trip. An editor can also invite further members; only the owner can manage the share link or remove members.
Yes — the owner can transfer ownership to any accepted member from the Share sheet. The outgoing owner isn't dropped from the trip; they become an editor.
