Questions

Save each vehicle once — fuel economy, tank size, fuel type, and price per unit — in your Garage, then assign one to a trip from "Fuel & car" instead of typing numbers by hand each time. Fuel cost and range warnings are computed from that vehicle for every trip it's assigned to.
From the vehicle assigned to the trip — its real fuel economy applied to the route's actual distance — resolved server-side, so the figure is the same for every viewer of a trip regardless of who's signed in.
